About the author:
Bernadette Gallagher is a poet from Donegal living in County Cork. Her first poetry collection, The Risen Tree, was published by Revival Press (an imprint of the Limerick Writers’ Centre) in 2024. She has received awards from the Arts Council of Ireland and Cork County Council.
Her work has been published in Crannóg, Agenda, The Stinging Fly, The North, Stony Thursday, The Frogmore Papers, The Tablet, Dreich, FLARE, Southword 41, New Isles Press, Irish Examiner, Boyne Berries, ROPES, Stanzas, in the US peace journal DoveTales, Cork Words 3, Tabula Rasa, In the Cinnamon Corners, Ó Bhéal Five Words, In Dappled Shade and in various online journals.
A selection of her work has been recorded by the University College Dublin Poetry Archive and the Words Lightly Spoken podcast. She has been invited to read her work in Ireland, UK, US, and at the Sahitya Akademi in New Delhi, India.
An essay by Bernadette on the poet Dorothea Herbert (1767-1829) is published in Irish Women Poets Rediscovered: Readings in Poetry from 18th - 20th Century edited by Maria Johnston and Conor Linnie; Publisher: Cork University Press, 2021.
A poem written by Bernadette, titled ‘Inis Bó Finne’, was selected by Máire Dinny Wren in 2025. This was in response to a call out for “Cruthaitheacht Chois Fharraige” hosted by Turas Úr Arts collective as part of Earagail Arts Festival, County Donegal.
As part of the Ó Bhéal go Béal, Bernadette has been nominated to participate in the 2025 Cork/Coventry Twin Cities Poetry Exchange.

Celebrating the Art of Music and Song at Chapel Hill, Macroom, with Clodagh - 7:30pm – 8:00pm
About the Artist:
Clodagh is a singer-songwriter from Macroom whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with haunting vocals and rich harmonies. Since releasing her debut EP In All of Your Glory in 2019, she has continued to captivate audiences with singles including You Got Me, All You Do Is, and her most recent release Sit in Silence. Her track All You Do Is was performed live on the Six O’Clock Show, with her music receiving radio play across Ireland.
A graduate of BIMM and now completing her Master’s in Music at the Cork School of Music, Clodagh is also an Artist Development Coach with Los Angeles music programme VocalizeU, supporting emerging talent while nurturing her own artistry. She also teaches at Chapel Hill School of Art and online throughout the year.
Clodagh has performed in venues such as Dolans, Workman’s Club, and Crane Lane, steadily building a reputation as a distinctive voice in Ireland’s music scene.
Her music invites listeners into a world of raw emotion, haunting beauty and heartfelt storytelling.
